Nashville Alpha 9

  • This version contains the Joe Bruns excellent suggestion to put parentheses around the hybridizer name on the list of AVs.  When 2 or more violets have the same name I chose to list the hybridizer appended with the text "by:" e.g.

                    Abilene by: B.Golla
               Abilene by: Volkmann

The way the list has been created in Alpha 9 is to list the hybridizers in parentheses, improving readability e.g.
                Abilene (B. Golla)
                Abilene (Volkmann)

  • Longer descriptions were being truncated, a predominant characteristic of the Species plants.  For example, the violet S. Ionantha  has a very long description. The solution has been to make the descriptive text scrollable.
  • When switching from portrait mode to landscape mode on smaller devices such as phones with a 4 inch screen, the lower half of the advanced search panel which contained the search button was off screen and unreachable.  The screen now re-arranges itself in landscape mode.
  • When switching from portrait to landscape with a violet picture and text on the screen, the picture ended up under the text.  The picture has been moved to the right side. It still is movable and can be pinch zoomed to taste.
  • The start of an inventory app and wishlist app have been added to the results menu.  These are named "My Collection" and "My Wish List" respectively.
  • The alias names are now displayed if the plant contains one.  This is a characteristic of many of the species plants.
  • Many stability improvements were added to improve reliability.
